Question #6 – Judaism in 2013
What is Judaism in 2013?
In an age of rationalism and science, is there any reason still to be Jewish or raise Jewish children? Does Judaism offer the wisdom of generations or an outdated view of the universe? Does it offer us more than it divides us from others?
Question #5 – Prayer
Does prayer matter to you?
Why do you pray? Do you find worship services meaningful or boring, thought-provoking or anachronistic, soothing or mumbo-jumbo? What do you want to get of prayer? Do our worship services help you achieve that? How would you like to pray? Should we bother?
Question #4 – Your Jewish Identity
Is Judaism a significant part of your identity?
When you travel, do you visit Jewish sights? Do you notice when someone in the news is Jewish? Are a lot of your friends Jewish? Do you wonder about why all of this is so or why it describes others but not you? Is Judaism more than ethnic or cultural identity for you?
